          <h1>National Commission for Backward Classes protects rights and advises on socio economic development while exercising civil court powers.</h1> A statutory Commission for the socially and educationally backward classes is constituted with appointed members and self regulated procedure; it must investigate and monitor constitutional and legal safeguards, inquire into complaints, advise on socio economic development, present reports with recommendations, and possesses civil court like powers to summon witnesses, require documents, receive affidavit evidence, requisition public records and issue commissions.
