Term of office of Governor: holds during President's pleasure, resignable in writing, five-year term subject to successor assumption. A Governor holds office during the pleasure of the President, may resign by writing to the President, and, subject to those conditions, serves a five-year term from assumption of office; however, the Governor continues in office after term expiry until the successor enters upon the office.
