Discharge of President's functions: Parliament may legislate to provide for contingencies not covered by the Chapter. Parliament is empowered to legislate as it thinks fit to provide for the discharge of the President's functions in any contingency not covered by the Chapter, thereby enabling legislative arrangements to ensure continuity of presidential duties when the Constitution is silent.
