          <h1>Definition of district judge clarifies scope of judicial service and the judicial offices encompassed thereby.</h1> Article 236 defines district judge to include specified judicial offices such as city civil court judges, additional and joint district judges, assistant district judges, chief judges of small cause courts, presidency magistrates and sessions judges. It further defines judicial service as a service consisting exclusively of persons intended to fill the post of district judge and other civil judicial posts inferior to that post.
