Article 384 ensured continuity of ministerial appointments during constitutional transition before its repeal by the Seventh Amendment Act
Article 384, prior to its repeal, provided that individuals appointed by a State Governor would become members of the Governor's Council of Ministers under the Constitution. Until such appointments were made, those holding ministerial office in the corresponding Province immediately before the Constitution's commencement would continue as members of the Governor's Council of Ministers. This provision was intended as a transitional arrangement to maintain continuity in governance during the constitutional transition. The article was later omitted by the Seventh Amendment Act of 1956.
