          <h1>Continuity of Public Service Commission membership: pre-constitution members continue in office until term expiry under prior rules.</h1> Persons who were members of the Dominion, Provincial, or joint provincial Public Service Commissions immediately before commencement shall, unless they elect otherwise, become members of the corresponding Union, State, or Joint State Public Service Commission and shall continue to hold office until the expiration of their term as determined under the rules applicable immediately before commencement, subject to the relevant proviso to the membership provisions.
