Eligibility for re-election: current or former presidents are eligible for re-election subject to other constitutional provisions. A person who currently holds, or who has previously held, the office of President remains eligible for re-election to that office, subject to the other provisions of the Constitution; prior service in the presidential office does not, by itself, bar a candidate from standing again.
