Continuity of High Court Judges: provincial incumbents become State High Court judges retaining salaries and service rights. Judges holding office in Provincial High Courts immediately before commencement become Judges of the corresponding State High Court unless they elected otherwise, retaining salaries, allowances, leave and pension rights; they remain eligible for appointment as Chief Justice or Judge of other High Courts even if not citizens where permitted. Judges corresponding to Part B States similarly continue and may hold office for periods the President may determine, and the expression 'Judge' excludes acting and additional Judges.
