Constitutional interpretation scope extends to related historical statutes and orders, broadening questions of law considered under the Constitution. References to any substantial question of law concerning the interpretation of the Constitution in this Chapter and in Chapter V of Part VI extend to questions about interpretation of pre constitutional statutes and instruments, including the Government of India Act, the Indian Independence Act, any enactments amending or supplementing those Acts, and any Orders in Council or orders made thereunder, thereby broadening the scope of constitutional interpretation to encompass related historical statutes and subordinate instruments.
