          <h1>Central deployment of armed forces authorises Union control over forces sent to address grave law-and-order situations in states.</h1> Central power to deploy Union armed forces permits the Government of India to send Union or Union-controlled forces to address grave law-and-order situations in a State; such deployed forces must act under directions of the Government of India and, except as those directions provide, are not subject to State government superintendence or control. Parliament may by law specify the powers, functions, privileges and liabilities of members of forces or contingents deployed under this central deployment power during deployment.
