Minorities Granted Constitutional Protection to Establish, Manage, and Sustain Educational Institutions Without State Interference
Article 30 of the Indian Constitution guarantees fundamental rights for minority groups. It provides that religious and linguistic minorities have the right to establish and administer educational institutions of their choice. The state cannot discriminate against minority-managed educational institutions when granting aid. Additionally, if the state compulsorily acquires property of a minority educational institution, it must ensure compensation that does not restrict the institution's rights.
