          <h1>Transfer of judges: President may relocate a judge after consultation with the Chief Justice of India with compensatory allowance.</h1> Article 222 authorises the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, to transfer a Judge between High Courts and provides that a Judge so transferred shall receive a compensatory allowance in addition to salary, to be determined by Parliament or, until so determined, fixed by the President by order.
