Comptroller and Auditor General powers: perform duties over Union and State accounts as prescribed by Parliament. Comptroller and Auditor General is empowered to perform duties and exercise powers over the accounts of the Union, States and other authorities as prescribed by laws made by Parliament, and until such enactments, continues the duties and powers that the Auditor General of India had immediately before the Constitution in relation to the Dominion and the Provinces.
