          <h1>Attendance of retired judges: former judges may be requested, with presidential consent, to sit and exercise judicial powers.</h1> Provision permits the designated appointing body, with the President's prior consent, to request a former Supreme Court or Federal Court judge or a High Court judge qualified for Supreme Court appointment to sit and act as a Supreme Court judge; such persons who consent are entitled while sitting to presidentially determined allowances and to the jurisdiction, powers and privileges of a Judge, but are not otherwise deemed to be Judges, and no one is required to accept the request.
