of <h1>DGFT Streamlines Export Process: MEIS and SEIS Scrips Now Electronic for EDI Ports, Physical Copies Phased Out</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has phased out physical copies of MEIS and SEIS Duty Credit Scrips for EDI ports to streamline export processes. Effective from April 10, 2019, these scrips are issued electronically, eliminating the need for physical copies and the issuance of TRAs for EDI ports. However, DGFT will continue issuing physical scrips for non-EDI ports, with the TRA facility available for these scrips at both EDI and non-EDI ports. This change aims to enhance the ease of doing business for exporters.
