<h1>SEZ Units Can Subcontract for DTA Exporters Annually; Precious Metal Scrap Handling Outlined in SEZ Rules 43, 47(2).</h1> A unit within a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) can subcontract for export on behalf of a Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) exporter with annual permission from the Specified Officer, following conditions in Rule 43 of the SEZ Rules. According to Rule 47(2), scrap or dust of precious metals like gold, silver, or platinum can be sent to a Government or Private Mint and returned as standard bars under Customs procedures, or sold in the DTA with applicable duty on the metal content.
