          Round-the-clock Customs clearance removes Merchant Overtime Fee at CFSs attached to such ports under amended rules. CBIC amended the Customs (Fees for Rendering Services by Customs Officers) Regulations, 1998 to provide that no fee shall be leviable where working hours for clearance of cargo in Customs ports or Customs airports are prescribed as round the clock, and this clarification extends to Merchant Overtime (MOT) charges in Container Freight Stations attached to such ports.
