Most Goods Can Be Imported via Courier, Except Restricted Items Like Precious Stones, Gold, and Over 70kg Shipments.
Except for certain excluded categories, most goods can be imported through courier services. Exclusions are due to specific conditions required under other laws, such as testing or expert reference, which delay clearance. Goods not allowed include precious and semi-precious cargo, animals, plants, perishables, publications with incorrect Indian boundaries, precious stones, gold, silver, and goods under certain export promotion schemes, except for specific ones like Drawback, RoDTEP, and RoSCTL. Goods exceeding 70 kg are restricted under manual courier mode, but not electronically. Clearance under the EOU scheme is allowed electronically.
