Extension of warehousing period: authority to prolong warehouse storage on sufficient cause, limited to one year extensions. The Principal Commissioner of Customs or Commissioner of Customs may, on sufficient cause being shown, extend the period for which goods may remain in the warehouse, subject to a limit of one year at a time under the Customs Act.
