Immediate suspension is possible if an inquiry is pending, with a hearing required within 15 days. A written notice must be issued within 90 days of an offense report, allowing 30 days for a defense statement. An inquiry report follows, with final orders issued within 90 days. Penalties are independent of other legal actions. The CBIC emphasizes fair processes and advises against implicating brokers without proven involvement.
