Customs detain imported courier consignments, issue notice to the Authorised Courier, and may dispose of goods after the prescribed holding period; the Authorised Courier bears storage and holding charges. For exports, a similar procedure permits disposal if goods are not exported within the short holding period or any Customs granted extension.
