of <h1>Central Government Can Alter Customs Orders on Baggage and Goods Under Section 129DD, Applications via Form CA 8</h1> The Central Government can annul or modify orders by the Commissioner or Commissioner (Appeals) regarding baggage, Drawback, and short-landing/not landing of goods under Section 129DD of the Customs Act, 1962. Applications for revision must be filed within three months, extendable by another three months for valid reasons. Applications are filed using Form No. CA 8, with a fee of Rs.200 for amounts up to Rs.1 lakh and Rs.1,000 for amounts exceeding Rs.1 lakh. No fee is required if filed by the Department. Applications may be refused if the differential duty, fine, or penalty does not exceed Rs.5,000.
