RoSCTL Scheme Extends Duty Credit Scrip Validity to Two Years, Boosts Exporter Benefits and Rebates
The Scheme for Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies on export of garments and made-ups (RoSCTL) was introduced by the Ministry of Textiles, replacing the previous Rebate of State Levies (RoSL) scheme. Effective from March 7, 2019, it provides benefits to exporters through duty credit scrips similar to the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS). Amendments in 2022 extended the validity of these scrips from one to two years. The scheme, along with an Additional Ad-hoc Incentive, offers rebates via electronic duty credit scrips, which are transferable and can be used for customs and excise duties.
