Movement of domestic courier bags allowed on international flight domestic sectors with registration, marking, segregation and customs declarations. Movement of domestic courier bags on the domestic sector of international flights is permitted subject to conditions: the courier company must be registered with Customs; domestic consignments must be boldly marked 'DOMESTIC COURIER' and kept in separate pallets and marked domestic bins/containers. At embarkation a goods declaration stating numbers and contents must be submitted to the on board courier or person in charge, with a copy to the Escort Officer. On arrival the person in charge or on board courier must file the cargo manifest with the proper Customs officer; the Escort Officer hands the declaration copy to Customs for checks. On road couriers may not carry courier bags as hand baggage.
