Port Assessment Groups ensure local verification, handle bills of entry not selected for faceless assessment and related procedural requests.

Port Assessment Groups are the local appraising units at the port of import tasked with verification of assessment and handling all bills of entry not assigned to the Faceless Assessment system or referred back by it. The port of import also conducts physical examination and inspection of goods and processes procedural requests through designated proper officers, including waiver of late-filing fees and other import permissions.
