Maternity medical bonus: employers must pay Rs. 3,500 if prenatal or postnatal care is not provided free. A woman entitled to maternity benefit is additionally entitled to a medical bonus of three thousand five hundred rupees, or such amount as may be notified by the Central Government, where the employer does not provide pre natal confinement and post natal care free of charge.
