of <h1>Powers of Employees Insurance Court clarified as civil court powers, procedure set by State Government and orders enforceable.</h1> Section 50 confers on the Employees Insurance Court the full powers of a civil court to summon and enforce attendance of witnesses, compel discovery and production of documents and material objects, administer oaths and record evidence, and deems it a civil court for specified criminal procedural purposes; these powers operate to enable civil court-style evidence gathering and coercive process. The court must follow procedure prescribed by the State Government, which determines procedural scope, and may award costs in its discretion; its orders are enforceable as if they were decrees of a civil court.
