of <h1>Social security for gig workers and platform workers: Central Government may notify schemes, funding sources, and aggregator contributions.</h1> Central Government may frame social security schemes for gig workers and platform workers covering life and disability cover, accident insurance, health and maternity benefits, old age protection and creche, with any other benefits as specified. Schemes may prescribe administration, implementing agencies, role of aggregators and funding sources. Funding may be wholly or partly from Central or State Governments, aggregators, beneficiaries, CSR or other sources; aggregator contribution is prescribed between one and two percent of annual turnover (subject to a cap of five percent of amounts paid to workers). National Social Security Board will govern welfare with specified membership and Central Government may prescribe collection, interest for delayed contributions, self-assessment and exemptions.
