<h1>Employee's compensation review allows modification or conversion of half-monthly payments on application with medical certification</h1> Section 79 permits review of any half-monthly employee compensation payment by the competent authority on application by either employer or employee; the application must be accompanied by a medical practitioners certificate showing change in the employees condition, although the State Government may prescribe conditions allowing applications without such certificate. On review the competent authority may continue, increase, decrease or end the half-monthly payment, or, where the accident is found to have caused permanent disablement, convert the payments into the lump sum payable to the employee, less amounts already paid as half-monthly payments.
