Employee compensation half-monthly payments can be reviewed and adjusted or converted to a lump sum upon permanent disablement. The competent authority may review any half-monthly employee compensation payment on application by employer or employee, normally supported by a medical practitioner's certificate of changed condition, or without it subject to State-prescribed conditions; on review the payment may be continued, increased, decreased, ended, or, if the accident caused permanent disablement, converted to the employee's lump-sum entitlement less amounts already paid.
