Maternity benefit payments due on a woman's death must be paid to her nominated person or legal representative. Where a woman entitled to maternity benefit dies before receiving it, the employer must pay the unpaid maternity benefit or other amounts under the Chapter to the person nominated by the woman under section 62, and if there is no nominee, to her legal representative; the rule also applies when the employer is liable under the second proviso to sub section (3) of section 60.
