<h1>Maintenance of records and returns by employers under Code on Social Security mandates prescribed registers, wage slips and electronic filing.</h1> Employers must maintain prescribed records and registers, electronically or otherwise, capturing employment particulars including days and hours worked, wages, leave and overtime wages, employee identification, occupational details, recruitment and vacancy data, statutory deductions, cess paid for construction, and records of accidents and compensation; failure to do so will attract compliance consequences under the Code. Employers are required to display prescribed workplace notices, issue wage slips in electronic or other form, and file returns to designated officers in prescribed manner and periods. Rules will specify Chapter III matters within social security schemes, and regulations will specify forms for Chapter IV records and returns.
