of <h1>Remedies of employer against stranger: entitlement to indemnity from third parties liable for employee injury, and subrogation rights.</h1> Provides that where an employee has recovered compensation for an injury caused by a person other than the payer, the payer and any person called on to indemnify the payer are entitled to be indemnified by the third party legally liable for damages; this creates a statutory right of indemnity and enables recovery from third parties responsible for the injury. The provision clarifies operative remedial rights of payers to pursue restitution from liable strangers and permits subrogative enforcement of those rights. The provision is stated to commence on 21-11-2025.
