Social Security Code: members and officials, including inspectors and recovery officers, are deemed public servants under penal law. Members, officers and staff of a Social Security Organisation, and Inspector-cum-Facilitators, competent authorities, Authorised Officers, Recovery Officers and any person discharging functions under the Code, are expressly deemed to be public servants within the meaning of the penal law definition of a public servant.
