<h1>Reports of fatal accidents and serious bodily injuries require seven-day reporting to authority; State may extend scope and specify reporters.</h1> Requires employers or specified persons to send a report to the competent authority within seven days when an accident on premises causes death or serious bodily injury, with 'serious bodily injury' defined to include permanent loss or injury to limbs, sight or hearing, fractures, or absence from work exceeding twenty days; State Government may, by notification, extend reporting obligations to additional classes of premises and specify reporting persons; section expressly excludes establishments governed by the Employees State Insurance provisions.
