Establishment registration required under the Code; deemed existing registrations accepted and cancellation rules apply for closing businesses. Every establishment to which the Code applies must obtain registration, electronically or otherwise, in the time and manner prescribed by the Central Government; registration already held under another Central labour law is deemed to be registration for this Code. Establishments subject to Chapter III or Chapter IV that are in the process of closure may apply for cancellation of registration, and the manner, conditions and procedure for cancellation shall be prescribed by the Central Government.
