<h1>Appeal against Authorised Officer order under Code on Social Security requires deposit, six-month decision, and refund with interest</h1> Under the Code on Social Security an employer dissatisfied with an authorised officer direction under Chapter IV may prefer an appeal to an appellate authority not below the rank of Joint Director as provided by regulations, within sixty days after depositing twenty-five percent of the contribution so ordered or the contribution per his own calculation, whichever is higher; the appellate authority must decide the appeal within six months, and if the employer finally succeeds the Corporation must refund the deposit with such interest as prescribed in regulations.
