Disposal of uncleared goods: imported and exported consignments subject to detention and disposal after prescribed holding periods. Import consignments arriving by courier that remain uncleared are to be detained by Customs, with notice to the Authorised Courier; if uncleared beyond the prescribed holding period Customs may dispose of the goods and storage charges are borne by the Authorised Courier. Export consignments not exported within the prescribed export clearance period, or any authorised extension, may likewise be disposed of under the same detention, notice and disposal procedure.
