of <h1>Customs Act: Special Warehouses for Dutiable Goods under Section 58A; Goods Specified by Notifications 72/2016, 66/2016, 61/2020.</h1> The Customs Act, 1962 allows the Principal Commissioner or Commissioner of Customs to license special warehouses for storing dutiable goods under specific conditions. These warehouses are secured by a proper officer, and access or removal of goods requires their permission. The Board can specify which classes of goods are stored in these warehouses through notifications in the Official Gazette. Notifications No. 72/2016 and No. 66/2016, amended by No. 61/2020, outline the classes of goods for special warehouses as per Section 58A of the Act.
