Policy applicability to inland container and freight station proposals governs new, pending and certain existing facility obligations and renewals. Policy applicability governs setting up inland container depots, container freight stations and air freight stations: new proposals submitted to the IMC after issue of these guidelines and pending proposals before the IMC must follow the prescribed policy. Existing facilities and proposals with a Letter of Intent but not yet commenced are subject to these guidelines insofar as relevant, notably post approval obligations, term, renewal and denotification; IMC approved proposals remain under the old policy.
