24x7 Customs Clearance Expands to 20 Sea Ports and 17 Air Cargo Complexes for Facilitated Imports and Exports
The 24x7 Customs clearance facility, initiated on December 31, 2014, allows continuous processing of specified imports and exports at designated sea ports and air cargo complexes. Initially available at 18 sea ports and 17 air cargo complexes, it has expanded to 20 sea ports and 17 air cargo complexes. The facility covers goods with facilitated Bills of Entry and certain exports, including reefer containers with perishable goods. Inland Container Depots (ICDs) are advised to extend clearance hours, either continuously or on specified days, based on local needs and resource availability, for facilitated imports and specified exports.
