The policy prescribes measures to address regulatory and logistics shortcomings in hard and soft infrastructure and sets out a framework of functional requirements for design and operation of dry ports, while establishing uniform institutional, administrative and regulatory arrangements including specified procedures for regulatory inspection and customs control and related formalities to support sustainable sectoral growth and more effective, technology enabled customs interventions.
