            <h1>ISPM-15 compliance required: non-compliant wooden packaging prevents customs clearance and triggers plant quarantine inspection and reporting.</h1> Compliance with ISPM-15 is mandatory for consignments with wood packaging used in international trade; exporters must declare packaging in the Shipping Bill. Customs shall inspect such consignments and report those without ISPM-15 marking or with doubtful marking to Plant Quarantine authorities. Consignments deficient in ISPM-15 requirements shall not receive clearance. Accredited agencies issue ISPM-15 certification after prescribed treatments, such as methyl bromide or forced hot air.
