Export through courier is permitted except for goods attracting export duty, goods under export promotion schemes, and consignments above a prescribed value involving foreign exchange unless a waiver or specific permission is obtained. A notification permits certain merchandise exports under the export incentive scheme to be sent by courier up to a specified per consignment FOB ceiling for items listed in the trade policy appendix.
