Drawback claims are processed via an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system on a first-come-first-served basis after actual export; queries or deficiencies are shown at the Service Centre and must be replied to there before a claim enters the EDI adjudication queue. Sanctioned claims are listed in a daily scroll and sent to the bank for credit to exporters' accounts, and electronic transmission of the Export General Manifest confirms physical export to enable sanction.
