The requirements for handling customs documents have been relaxed for MSMEs. Applicants must demonstrate compliance with Customs laws, financial solvency, and appropriate internal controls for security. The AEO Programme Manager considers factors like business size and legal status. Compliance requirements are detailed in Circular No. 33/2016-Customs, with simplified annexures for MSMEs.
