Exporters Must Submit Endorsed Checklist and Original Documents for Customs Verification Upon Arrival
After goods arrive in the customs area, the exporter or customs broker must contact the designated Customs Officer, presenting a checklist endorsed by the custodian, along with original documents like the invoice and packing list. The Customs Officer verifies the received packages, enters details into the system, and marks the Electronic Shipping Bill. All original documents are then handed to the Dock Appraiser, who assigns a Customs Officer to examine the goods if required by the Risk Management System. The officer's name and any packages to be examined are noted on the checklist, which is returned to the exporter or customs broker.
