Inspector-cum-Facilitator powers to inspect workplaces, seize records, take samples, issue notices and initiate prosecutions for safety compliance. Section 35 empowers Inspector-cum-Facilitators to enter and inspect workplaces, require production of registers and documents, take measurements, recordings and samples, search, seize or copy records, inquire into accidents and record statements, and detain or test articles or substances posing safety risks; they may direct premises to remain undisturbed, issue show cause notices, and initiate or conduct prosecutions, with persons required to produce information deemed legally bound and CrPC search and seizure provisions applied as far as practicable.
