          <h1>Prohibition of overlapping shifts: shifts cannot have multiple relays doing the same work simultaneously; exemptions possible with conditions.</h1> Establishments are prohibited from arranging shifts so that more than one relay of workers of the same kind perform the same work at the same time. The appropriate Government, or the Chief Inspector-cum-Facilitator with the Government's approval, may issue a written order exempting specified establishments, departments or worker categories for stated reasons and subject to conditions; this exemption does not apply to mines.
