Cre che facility requirements impose workplace childcare, hygiene, security and safeguarding duties for covered establishments. Employers in specified establishments with more than fifty workers must provide and maintain a free cre che facility for children below six years of age, with a mobile cre che wherever required. The cre che must be suitably located, hygienic, supervised, and secured through police verification, controlled child handover, attendance records, emergency contacts, CCTV monitoring, and safeguards against abuse, hazards and unauthorised entry. A common cre che may also be used or jointly arranged with government, municipal, private or other organisations.
