Rescue room in-charge qualifications require rescue training, underground mine experience, and an appropriate mining certificate. No person may be appointed as rescue room in-charge unless the person is rescue trained, has three years' practical experience of below ground work in mines, and holds a Manager's or Mining Supervisor's Certificate that is not restricted to open cast workings.
